Adding WiFi to a console that has none
Several consoles in the R36 series leave the factory without a WiFi chip. With no network, everything goes through the microSD card: power down, take the card out, plug it into a computer, copy across, put it back. This USB WiFi dongle removes that loop.
Once connected, it opens up the system's network features: file transfers without pulling the card, remote access to the console from a computer on the same network, and local network play on the systems that support it.
The console has no full-size USB-A port, so the USB-C OTG adapter is required to connect the dongle. That is why the complete kit is the default choice — the "dongle only" option is for people who already own an OTG adapter. Works with the R36S pocket retro console and the R36H 128 GB.

Frequently asked questions
The kit contains the WiFi dongle and the USB-C OTG adapter. As the console has no USB-A port, the adapter is needed to connect the dongle. Only choose “dongle only” if you already own an OTG adapter.
It is intended for the R36 series: R36S, R36H, R36 Plus and R36 Ultra. The system installed on the console needs to support USB WiFi adapters.
Mainly transferring files without taking the microSD card out, and reaching the console from a computer on the same network. Some systems also add local network play.
Nothing further. If your model already has a WiFi chip built in, this dongle is redundant.
It can, but it draws battery and sticks out of the chassis. Most people plug it in for a transfer and then remove it.
The dongle opens the console's network connection. What you move across it remains your responsibility: only use files you are entitled to own.
